This director, born in Martinez on the outskirts of Buenos Aires, made her film debut with A Year Without Love in 2005, which won 15 international awards. She established herself in Argentina as one of the most important and provocative female filmmakers.

 

After studying Audiovisual Media Production at the Instituto ORT and at the Institute National de L'Audiovisuel in Paris, France she returned to Argentina to develop her film career.

 

Her second full-length film, Encarnación (2007), a film in which follows a middle aged actress' journey back to her home town to find her roots, participated in the official competition in the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain.

 

It’s Your Fault, her third film starring Erica Rivas was released in 2010 and deals with a women's divorce crisis which ultimately is the cause for an accident which drags her into a custody strugle as she is accused of child abuse. Her latest release, Aire libre (2014) starring Leonardo Sbaraglia also deals with children victims of a violent home-life.
